- Before starting the project. Old retainer wall was failing and ground movement had started. After conferring with the owner, decision was made to add a short retainer wall to support old retainer wall and stabilize the hill.

- Setting location of the wall. By looking at the location of yellow tread , it was obvious that if we make an straight wall and burry the old wall in it's slope, we will lose the valuable driveway space and back driveway becomes useless. so we decided to bring the wall closer to the old wooden retainer wall.

- Trenching

- More trenching. using a block as guide

- when we got to the right depth, we compacted the ground to make sure we are laying our wall on a solid ground.
- Final leveling and compacting before pouring sand
- Sand is poured. we are making sure that our dept is correct.

-  French Drain is being set
- First row is being placed
- Accuracy is name of the game.
- As we progressed drain pipes were being laid
- Work continues.
- Perforated drain pipes are installed
- Drain pipes are connected to the main drain

- Every row is perfectly compacted before next row is installed
- Beginning and end of wall are turned and terminated into the hill
- At some places we increased the wall height above the 5 rows agreed in contract to make sure we have provided enough support for the old wood retainer wall.

-.Looking at this picture shows our decision of changing location of the wall was correct. otherwise space between the tree and wall would be too small for a car to pass through.
