Client needed to move two walls and expand a
room. Click on picture to enlarge.
This is how it was. This
small room was
opening to a corridor that had a door to another room.
We started the project
with demolition. We relocated the electrical panel, and rerouted the
plumbing pipes passing through walls.
This picture is showing the opposite side of the small room and corridor is
behind the right wall.
As you see, corridor was
added to the small room. We also moved other wall one foot back.
And we relocated door to the other bed room, so it would not be opening
to this room.
After finishing dry walling
and texturing, we poured thin set to fix the floor cavities where wall
were. Adding thin set also reduced walking noise and increased thermal
insulation. Now client has a large size bedroom.
